As 2019 was a good vintage, Quinta do Pégo has chosen to produce this Quinta do Pégo Signature red wine. It was produced for the first time in vintage 2011, followed by the releases in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 – all seven wines were highly regarded by all wine lovers. Therefore, it is now decided to repeat the success by this vintage 2019.
The wine is produced from Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Sousão grapes and it has been aged in French oak for 14 months. Afterwards the wine has been aged in the bottle before being released.
2019 Quinta do Pégo Signature has dark red colour. The aromatic nose shows ripe dark red fruit, dried stone fruit and spicy liquorice. This dense, full-bodied wine impresses with succulent red fruit and blackberries, bold rich tannins that follows onto a long lingering finish. It holds promise of a long life of maturation in the bottle.
The Quinta do Pégo Signature 2019 is a meticulously selected blend and produced in very small quantities.
Due to minimal interference before bottling, a deposit may occur and decanting is recommended.
